Spole\u010dn\u011b s \u0159editelem Od\u0159ejovsk\u00e9 hv\u011bzd\u00e1rny prof. Janem Palou\u0161em a Dr. M. Ju\u0159\u00edkovou v letech 1998 \u2013 2003 uskute\u010dnili \u0161est ro\u010dn\u00edk\u016f symposia \u201eKAMENY A HV\u011aZDY\u201c. Je \u017eenat\u00fd, man\u017eelka Olga. Maj\u00ed dv\u011b d\u011bti, Petr 1978, Magdal\u00e9na 1982. \u017dije a pracuje v Praze a v Kostelci nad \u010cern\u00fdmi lesy.<\/p>\n
Mimo rozs\u00e1hl\u00e9 mal\u00ed\u0159sk\u00e9 a kresl\u00ed\u0159sk\u00e9 d\u00edlo se od osmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let zab\u00fdv\u00e1 i prostorovou tvorbou. Pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 \u0161irokou \u0161k\u00e1lu materi\u00e1l\u016f. V mnoha jeho d\u00edlech voln\u011b proch\u00e1z\u00ed malba do prostoru, a naopak, r\u016fzn\u011b strukturovan\u00fd prostor je n\u00e1m\u011btem jeho maleb.<\/p>\n
V devades\u00e1t\u00fdch letech za\u010dal intensivn\u011b pracovat s tvrd\u00fdmi kameny (\u017eula, syenit). Velmi osobit\u00e9 jsou pr\u00e1ce, ve kter\u00fdch kombinuje k\u00e1men se sklem. V n\u011bkter\u00fdch sou\u010dasn\u00fdch projektech se Zdenek H\u016fla pohybuje na hranici mezi skulpturou, architekturou a landartem.<\/p>\n

Zdenek H\u016fla www.zdenek-hula.cz info@zdenek-hula.cz Zdenek H\u016fla was born on 25 February 1948 in Prague. 1963 \u2013 1966 attended Grammar School in \u010cesk\u00fd Brod, 1966 \u2013 1972 attended Akademie v\u00fdtvarn\u00fdch um\u011bn\u00ed Prague, studio of figurative painting under Professor Karel Sou\u010dek. In 1974 \u2013 1975 he worked as a night watchman in the National Gallery, and in 1975 \u2013 1976 he worked in the ceramics studio as a glazer on the restoration of monumental works of art. In 1979 \u2013 1980 he worked again the night watchman. In 1983 he founded the private independent Art Gallery \u201eH\u201c together with his brother Ji\u0159\u00ed H\u016fla and Josef Volvovi\u010d. During the 80\u00b4s H\u016fla organised and participated in many confrontational exhibitions at Gallery \u201eH\u201c and from 1990 he and Josef Volvovi\u010d have organised a continuing series of interdisciplinary symposiums there. From 1995 he works as a teacher of drawing and painting at the College of Education U.K. until now. In 2002 he was awarded higher Doctorate at V\u0160UP Prague in the art of sculpture. From 1998 until 2003 H\u016fla worked with Professor Jan Palou\u0161 the governor of the Observatory in Ond\u0159ejov and Dr. M. Ju\u0159\u00edkov\u00e1 on the \u201estones and stars\u201c symposium born of their mutual inspiration between art and science.<\/p>\n
Zdenek H\u016fla is married, to his wife Olga. In 1978 was born their son Petr and in 1982 their daughter Magdalena. From the 80\u00b4s Zdenek Hula has worked not only in painting and drawing but also in creating sculptures exploring the relationship to time, space and geometry. He is interested in the penetration of time and space over very long periods. Many of his paintings evolve from geometric grids and his sculptures involve a wide range of materials.<\/p>\n
In the 90\u00b4s Hula started to work with stone of great hardness and density (granite, syenit) and has recently brought together granite and glass in a quite unique way. H\u016fla\u00b4s rigorous process of thought and his need to communicate through time and space has produced his contemporary work which intersects with architecture and response to the landscape.<\/p>\n
